The Red Book
by Barbara Lehman
This book caught my eye at the library because, well, it's red and hard to miss when it's on display! I gave it a quick read. It was a lovely story about how a magical book opens up its finder's imagination.
A girl finds a book and opens it to see pictures of a boy who finds a book and opens it to see pictures of a girl who looks like the girl reading the original book. It's strange and clever and magical but also shows how books can bring two people together or help them imagine all sorts of strange things. This book suggests so many possibilities--and all without words. Very creative.
